Leah M. Kershner, CPA, EA

Leah joined the firm in 1999, became a shareholder in 2014, and is now the principal owner. She is a CPA and Enrolled Agent (EA) who provides tax services for business and individual clients. She is a Certifying Acceptance Agent for ITIN applications. She is a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and specializes in accounting for real estate investments, real estate professionals, construction, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, and physicians. Leah holds an Associate of Arts degree from St. Petersburg College and a BS in Accounting from the University of South Florida. Leah serves as a board member for the Lucas Macyszyn & Dyer Community Foundation, Inc. and is a member of Tampa Bay Women CPAs.

Wendy Tejada, EA

Wendy is a Senior Manager who joined our firm in 2011. She is an Enrolled Agent (EA) with extensive experience dealing with the accounting and tax issues of businesses, individuals, estates and trusts. She is a Certifying Acceptance Agent for ITIN applications. Wendy’s expertise includes Wyoming tax laws and the unique requirements of businesses in the agricultural sector. Her client base includes businesses in real estate, wholesale distribution, retail and professional services. Wendy’s specializations include QuickBooks clean-up, and resolution of federal and state tax problems. She received an AS in Business in 2003 from Northwest Community College and her BS in Accounting from the University of Wyoming in 2005.

Kris Kuhle, EA

Kris has been an Enrolled Agent (EA) since 2019 and joined the firm as Tax Manager in 2023. She has extensive experience with both accounting and tax work, which includes bookkeeping and writeup, income tax preparation, sales tax, payroll tax and tax planning. She is also experienced in resolution of state and federal tax problems. Her client base includes individuals and businesses in a variety of industries, including medical, veterinary, real estate, retail and wholesale. Kris holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Connecticut State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Quinnipiac College.

Magdalena (Maggie) Gladysz, CPA (Virginia)

Maggie joined the firm in 2006. She is a Staff Accountant who specializes in tax preparation and is also very experienced with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions as well as QuickBooks Online. She works with business clients in a wide variety of industries. She has expertise in the specialized tax needs of foreign investors as well as dual-status alien taxpayers. Maggie received her MA from the University of Szczecin in 2004 and she is fluent in Polish.

Carol Buckler, CPA

Carol joined the firm in 2020 as a Senior Staff Accountant.  Her experience includes both public accounting and private industry, which provides a balanced perspective on accounting and tax matters.  She has a wide range of experience with income tax preparation for individuals and businesses and preparation of financial statements, as well as administration of employee benefit plans.  She is well versed in the unique requirements of accounting for construction companies.  Carol holds a BS in Business Administration from Henderson State University and is a licensed CPA in both Arkansas and Florida.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Amy Blata, EA

Amy is a Senior Staff Accountant and has been with the firm since 2016. Amy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration and Accounting from Colorado Technical University. Amy also holds the Enrolled Agent designation and has passed two parts of the CPA exam. Amy has experience preparing tax returns in Florida, Colorado and Michigan. She is experienced in QuickBooks and Peach Tree accounting software. Amy provides bookkeeping and tax return preparation services. Amy’s industry expertise includes restaurants, nightclubs, farming, medical professionals and a wide range of service and consulting businesses.

Jason Krasnoff, CPA

Jason joined the firm’s Palm Harbor office in 2020 as a Staff Accountant. His experience includes income tax preparation for individuals and businesses, payroll taxes, bookkeeping and financial statement preparation. He has expertise in complex consolidations of related entities, inter-company transactions, and taxation of partnerships and corporations. Jason also has extensive experience auditing employment and payroll records. He is proficient in multiple accounting and tax software products. Jason holds an MS in Accounting from Western New England University and is a licensed CPA in both New York and Florida.  

Rovena (Rovi) Koci, EA Certification Pending

Rovi joined the firm in 2018 as a Staff Accountant in our Palm Harbor office. She has recently passed all parts of the Enrolled Agent (EA) exam and is awaiting her certification by the IRS. She has extensive experience with internal control of cash in a retail environment. She serves clients in a range of industries with bookkeeping, payroll and sales tax services. Her client base includes retailers, manufacturers, hotels, and real property investors. She is fluent in Albanian and Italian. Rovi earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Florida. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Education from the University of Macerata in Italy.

Rhonda Smith

Rhonda Smith joined our firm in 2017 as a Senior Bookkeeper. She is highly organized, analytical, and has excellent decision making skills. Rhonda possesses over 30+ years of experience working in diverse accounting, financial and payroll positions within multiple companies. She is well versed in QuickBooks, Paylocity, Engage, EDS, ADP as well as other financial software programs. She obtained her Associates Degree from Kirkwood Community College and Indian Hills Community College in Iowa.

Shanon Eland

Shanon joined the firm in 2015 and has advanced to the position of Staff Accountant in our Trinity office. She specializes in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks desktop versions. She provides bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax and income tax preparation services to many business clients, and specializes in clients in retail and online sales platforms. Her broad knowledge of Microsoft Office products and QuickBooks software make it possible for her to perform these duties efficiently and accurately.

Natalia Sanford

Natalia is a Staff Accountant in our Trinity office and joined the firm in 2018. She assists clients with bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and income tax preparation services. Her experience includes construction, retail and restaurant clients. Natalia is experienced in a wide variety of software products and is instrumental in the implementation and management of firm software. She is fluent in Polish. Natalia holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Florida. She is a candidate to sit for the CPA exam.

Oksana Langiano

Oksana is a Staff Accountant in our Trinity office since 2022. She has extensive experience with bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and income tax preparation for clients in a variety of industries. She holds a Specialist Degree of Financial Economics from Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian.

Dolores (Dorrie) Carr

Dorrie is a Staff Accountant in our Palm Harbor office who joined the firm in 2022. She has many years of experience with bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax on a variety of software platforms. Her expertise in QuickBooks is broad. Her client base includes a wide variety of industries, including realtors, retail, manufacturing and distribution. Dorrie holds an AS from St Petersburg College.

Tatiana Rothschild

Tatiana is a Bookkeeper in our Palm Harbor office who joined our firm in 2013. She specializes in QuickBooks and individual tax preparation. She also prepares payroll and sales tax returns for clients in a variety of industries. Tatiana received her Masters of Engineering in light industry in Russia, and also received an Accounting Application Certificate from St. Petersburg College. She is fluent in Russian and has experience working with clients from multiple countries.

Gabriela (Gabi) Barboza

Gaby joined the firm in 2023 as a bookkeeper. Gaby is proficient in QuickBooks software, sales tax and payroll taxes. She also has experience with Sage and Peachtree software. Her skills include preparation of individual income tax returns. Gaby is fluent in Spanish and includes conversational Italian in her language repertoire. She holds an Associate of Arts in Accounting from Santa Fe College and a Bachelors of Administration in Accounting from Saint Leo University.

Griselle Placeres

Griselle joined the firm in 2014 and is the Office Manager for our Palm Harbor office. Her responsibilities include printing and e-filing of tax returns, maintenance of our secure client portals, and developing procedures for efficiency, in addition to general administrative functions. She has extensive office administration experience and is well versed in Microsoft Office products.

Jaycen Kershner

Jaycen is our IT specialist, responsible for the installation and maintenance of the hardware and software used by the firm. He also works with outside consultants to maintain the security of our network. Jaycen is an integral part of our commitment to leverage state-of-the-art technology and the confidentiality of our client data.

Kayla Knudsen

Kayla became our Administrative Assistant in the Trinity office in 2022. She utilizes her tremendous organizational skills to efficiently manage all administrative functions of our Trinity office. Kayla also assists the firm with critical daily accounting functions, and electronically files tax returns. She is well versed in administrative software and her skills include conversational Spanish. She attends Pasco-Hernando State College and is currently pursuing her accounting degree.

Rebeka Bairaktaris

Rebeka is a customer service specialist who joined the firm in 2023. She is instrumental in assisting clients, administration of internal functions, and assuring efficient operation of our Palm Harbor office. She is proficient in Microsoft office products and has some college level education in accounting. She holds an Associate of Arts degree from St. Petersburg College.

Maureen M. Faber, affiliate

Maureen moved from Michigan to Florida and joined forces with PJK in 2016. She continues to work with her Michigan clients in affiliation with PJK. Maureen received her BS from Aquinas College.
